Preventive medicine and the management of chronic health conditions is extremely important.
Steven D. Brock, M.D. is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
I knew I wanted to become a doctor by the age of 15. I attended Texas Tech University and played baseball as a Red Raider for 4 years. After graduation, I attended medical school at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, did my internship and residency in Internal Medicine at UTMB and received Board Certification in 1981. I am a founding member of the Medical Clinic of North Texas (1995) and have played an active leadership role in the growth of MCNT which now spans across the Metroplex. For several years, I have had the honor to serve as an internal medicine consultant for the Texas Rangers Baseball Team.
I enjoy the variety and challenges that a general internal medicine practice brings and am extremely interested in preventive medicine, helping patients with cardiovascular fitness, screening, and testing. I routinely emphasize the importance of healthy lifestyle choices and the importance of monitoring chronic health conditions (better known as disease state management).
In my spare time, I enjoy playing golf, snow skiing, and am committed to physical fitness with regular exercise. I like to spend time with friends and family and am an active member of First United Methodist Church of Arlington. I married my high school sweetheart and have 2 children plus 4 adorable grandchildren.
