I feel that I am a part of each patient's family, and that they are a part of mine - this is what medicine is all about.
Stephanie Copeland, M.D., F.A.A.P. is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
I became a pediatrician because I love seeing children grow from small babies into strong, healthy young adults and caring for them so that they can achieve their highest potential. Becoming a part of a child's life is such a sacred honor and as a pediatrician, I enjoy that part of my job tremendously. The small daily joys like finding a "little bird" in each child's ear or helping them find that special sticker also influenced my decision to become a pediatrician and is why I love my job.
I was born in Beaumont, TX. I attended college in Abilene,TX at Abilene Christian University and graduated medical school at UT Southwestern in Dallas. I did my residency at UT Southwestern/Children's Medical Center in Dallas where I served as Chief Resident. I am the Clinical Chairman of Pediatrics for MCNT and am a Volunteer Clinical Instructor at UT Southwestern Medical School/Children's Medical Center Dallas.
I am the pediatrician for the Good Morning Texas show on WFAA Channel 8 where I hope you will catch many informative interviews. I really enjoy teaching parents how to care for their children and about the latest pediatric research that pertains to their children.
I live in Irving with my husband, daughter and two puppy dogs. I enjoy playing with my daughter, reading, scrapbooking, photography, being active in my church, singing and writing.
