About Me

When I began my undergraduate degree in genetics at Texas A&M, my initial goal was to pursue a Ph.D. in some field of genetics. However after receiving an undergraduate research fellowship, I realized that I preferred interacting more with people rather than spending every day confined to a laboratory. I decided to apply to medical school and have not looked back.

I earned my medical degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center and completed my residency in Family Medicine at the McLennan County Medical Research Foundation.

I grew up in Burleson, so moving back now to raise my own family is like coming full circle. I am excited to once again be part of this community and look forward to caring for its residents. My approach to medicine focuses on developing a partnership with the individuals who entrust me with their care. I truly enjoy when patients ask questions and provide input. I want them to feel comfortable talking with me so we can reach a decision plan together—one that will best address their health needs.
