About Me

I enjoy Internal Medicine because it allows me to work closely with patients on a variety of their healthcare needs. It also frequently offers challenges and diagnostic dilemmas that allow me to integrate cutting-edge science with the art of medicine to treat patients and help them stay healthy. Some of the most common conditions I see patients for include, hypertension, thyroid disorders, cholesterol and lipid disorders, diabetes, arthritis, asthma, COPD, gout, ulcer disease, UTIs, colds, flu and upper respiratory infections and health maintenance and disease prevention.

I was born in Texas and, because my father was in the military, I have lived in cities across Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Wyoming and Spain. I attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, completed my internship in Internal Medicine at Hermann Hospital in Houston and completed my residency in Internal Medicine at St. Paul Medical Center in Dallas. After my residency, I spent more than 25 years as an internal medicine physician at private and group-practice clinics in Arlington.

I currently live in Arlington with my wife, who I married two years after high school. We have four children and two grandchildren. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, attending church and participating in church-related activities, fishing and hiking in the mountains.
