Healthcare is a collaborative effort between the patient and doctor.
Nuha R. Said, M.D. is Board Certified in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
I love the range of problems seen in rheumatology and the challenge of helping patients. Some of the issues may only need one visit, but the majority of my patients require ongoing follow up. I enjoy developing long term relationships with my patients and learning about their lives.
I lived in New England for almost 15 years and did my physician training in Rhode Island. I have practiced medicine in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island. I have a love for teaching and enjoyed educating and training other Internal Medicine physicians who wanted to specialize in Rheumatology. I have participated in scholarly projects with publications on drug induced lupus, gout in women, and a book chapter on polymyalgia rheumatica. The focus of my career, however, has been on clinical practice and patient care and I look forward to focusing my teaching efforts on patient education and outreach.
I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex with my husband and son. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. In my spare time I enjoy reading, particularly fiction and cooking books. I like trying new recipes and improving on old ones. I also love spending time outdoors so the weather in Texas has been wonderful.
