About Me

I was born and grew up in Saudi Arabia. My parents are Indian and moved there for my father’s job as a petroleum engineer. Growing up in Saudi Arabia, I had the opportunity to interact with different cultures and learn several languages. From a young age, I was always fascinated with science and medicine.

I came to the United States when I entered high school, attending Wyoming Seminary College Prep School. When it came time for me to go to college, I attend Southern Methodist University where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. Becoming a physician was a natural fit, and I earned my medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.  Early on, I knew I wanted to focus on obstetrics and gynecology, and I completed my residency in the specialty at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

Becoming a physician has allowed me to make a difference in people’s lives with my interest and knowledge. My favorite part of my job is the rapport and trust I develop with my patients.

My approach to patient care focuses on ensuring individuals feel comfortable with me and know that I care about their health concerns. When caring for women during their pregnancy, I understand that they are embarking on a wonderful adventure. My role is to help them navigate their way through all the questions, milestones, and expectations that come with this special time in their lives. In gynecology, I enjoy having the opportunity to care for women in different phases of their lives and help them address whatever health issues may arise so they can enjoy life to the fullest. I also speak Hindi and Urdu.

When I’m not caring for patients, I enjoy traveling and exploring different places for their culture and food. I’ve also recently developed a keen interest in photography—which compliments my travels—and I’m a spin class fanatic.
