Karen Klatte, M.D., is Board Certified in cardiology by American College of Cardiology and Board Certified in internal medicine by American Board of Internal Medicine.

About Me

I always wanted to be a cardiologist because I am fascinated with the heart and its function. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in men and women and my goal is to have an impact on this statistic. Cardiac diseases are typically lifelong conditions that affect patients and their families, so I make it a priority to develop personal relationships with patients and families so we can work as a team on a treatment plan.

I grew up in Brenham, Texas and moved to Dallas to attend medical school at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. After receiving my medical degree, I completed my residency in internal medicine at Baylor University Medical Center, my research fellowship at St. Louis University Hospital Core ECG Lab and my cardiology fellowship at St. Louis University Hospital. After medical training, I worked as a cardiologist at hospitals in Dallas and Waxahachie. I am also an associate professor of internal medicine at Texas A&M Medical School.

Outside of work I enjoy biking, reading and entertaining friends and family. I live in Dallas with my husband and our son.
