About Me

I have always had an interest in women’s health. During medical school, I enjoyed obstetrics and gynecology because it allowed me to combine medicine and surgery; that’s when I decided I wanted to become an OB/GYN.

I was born in a small town in Louisiana called Zwolle, located in the westernmost portion of the state.

I completed my undergraduate at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA and my medical degree at Louisiana State University School of Medicine. I moved to Dallas to complete my residency in obstetrics and gynecology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Following this, I served in the United States Navy Medical Corps as a Naval Medical Officer and an obstetrics and gynecology physician.

My husband and I moved back to the D-FW metroplex in 2013—when I joined USMD. I’m excited to be with USMD because it will give me the opportunity to care for the women in the community in which I live, Mansfield.

My husband and I have two children; one daughter and one son. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and watching football with my husband—geaux LSU Tigers!
