Obstetrics & Gynecology

I love OB/GYN because it allows me to get to know each of my patients and hear their life stories at our yearly visits.

About Me

I have known I wanted to be a physician since I was young, but it wasn’t until medical school that I decided I wanted to specialize in obstetrics and gynecology. I love OB/GYN because it allows me to get to know each of my patients on a personal level—from her first well-woman exam to her growing family, as well as helping her through other gynecologic conditions that may arise, I love hearing all of my patients’ life stories at our annual visits.

I was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, but moved to the Houston area as a child and have since called Texas home. I attended Tulane University as an undergraduate, where I studied biology and Spanish, and then I attended medical school at Texas Tech University. I moved to Dallas for residency at UT Southwestern/Parkland, where I served as a chief resident in my final year. I feel privileged to have trained at such a busy and respected program, and I know that it gave me the foundation to provide excellent care to my patients. After residency, I stayed at UT Southwestern as faculty for one year, and then moved to North Arlington to join my wonderful group of colleagues at USMD/MCNT. I love my job and the ongoing variety that being an OB/GYN physician provides, including a full range of obstetric care, preventative care, in-office procedures, and gynecologic surgery, including minimally invasive surgery.

I live in North Arlington with my husband and daughter, and love being a mom. In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking and traveling.
