About Me

I have always enjoyed learning about science and anatomy, but I also value service and building relationships with people. Medicine seemed like a perfect fit.

During medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, I realized I wanted to become a surgeon, and completed my residency in general surgery at UT Southwestern. I love being able to fix a problem with a surgical procedure—whether it’s laparoscopic, endoscopic or robotic surgery.

Helping people get through an incredibly difficult and scary time in their lives is very meaningful. Being able to do so is the result of a strong patient-physician relationship—which I believe is crucial to quality patient care. Whether it begins in a clinic or an emergency room, that relationship is based on trust and solid communication.

I look forward to developing that bond with the individuals who entrust me with their care. Having grown up in Dallas, I am delighted to now be serving the North Texas community where I was raised.

When I’m not caring for patients, I enjoy spending time with family, being outdoors, cooking, and yoga.
