About Me

I knew from a very early age that I wanted to work as a physician. I wanted a career that allowed me to work with people and care for them through the different stages of their life. I selected internal medicine as my specialty because it allows me to provide care to patients throughout their adult life for a variety of their healthcare needs.

My goal as a physician is to build relationships and trust with each of my patients. I enjoy discovering why my patients don’t feel well and then working with them on a treatment plan. I want to help my patients improve their quality of life by providing top-notch and compassionate care and guiding them through their healthcare decisions.

I was born in Oklahoma but grew up in Kansas. I stayed in Kansas for medical training, completing my Doctor of Osteopathy degree at Kansas City University of Medicine & Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine. I was fortunate in that during my final year in medical school I trained in a different city almost every month—this experience was the first of many that shaped my practice style.

Furthermore, after I completed medical training, I spent nearly eight years managing the care of patients in a variety of settings, including acute care hospital, long-term acute care hospital, acute rehabilitation, nursing home, hospice, independent living, assisted living and home healthcare. Each of these experiences taught me something new and further shaped who I am as a physician. I joined USMD in 2016 and I look forward to caring for and developing relationships with patients in the Midlothian community.

I currently live in Cedar Hill with my family. I enjoy spending my free time with my family, exercising—my husband and I enjoy CrossFit—running, cooking and watching college sports.
