I love using the skills God gave me to heal those He puts in my path and to teach them how to stay healthy.
Carolyn A. Harris, M.D. is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
I like solving problems and interacting with people.
I grew up in Youngstown, Ohio (Go Buckeyes!). After being Chief Resident, I stayed home for 10 years teaching part time at a nursing college and working part time in my husband's office. I loved being able to be with my 4 kids, who with my husband make up my most important area of ministry. Once my kids got older, we moved to be closer to my in-laws, here in Texas, where I went back to full-time medicine.
I have written articles in various health magazines across the country, focusing on women's health and maintaining health while aging.
I'm always busy with my hands- either knitting, crocheting, or cross-stitching. I love traveling with my son to his debate tournaments and judging for them. We watch "Biggest Loser" and "NCIS" as our regular family time, and occasionally get wrapped up in bursts of watching old movies together.
We did adopt a puppy from the animal shelter last year, "Decaf", who I'm surprised I really like (I was never a pet-person before). We live near my in-laws in Highland Village, just south of Lake Lewisville, but I've only been bold enough to swim there twice.
